About Us

We are just two wannabe detectives who love sharing a glass of wine and some true crime knowledge with each other. Each episode we will take a dive into the details of the crime and speak out for those who can no longer speak for themselves. We want to make an impact with each story we share through education or ways to make a change! So, get comfortable, grab an adult beverage and listen in close.

Brenna (BREN-UH) she/her/hers

Brenna was born October 11th and is the third oldest of four siblings. Brenna had a slightly abnormal childhood in that she trained up to 34 hours a week as a competitive and elite gymnast and travelled around the U.S. competing until her early teens. Outside of gymnastics Brenna’s love for all things dark and spooky started at a young age watching movies such as The Dark Crystal, The Labyrinth, and Signs with her family. As Brenna got older her interest in true crime grew as she wanted to understand the “why” behind the crime. Understanding the common links found in childhood trauma or untreated mental illness in convicted criminals helps Brenna not only cope with the atrocious crimes she researches but also provides her with hope that one day we can prevent these crimes from affecting more people through mental health awareness.

Brenna has many passions in life, and this has led to numerous possible career paths such as psychology, zoology and entomology, business, and even interior design. She has worked full-time in various roles of employment but is still in search of her dream job. Although Brenna has yet to decide exactly what she wants to be when she grows up (do any of us ever really know), she does know that her main desire in life is to assist and advocate for those who do not have a voice. Whether that be the wrongfully convicted, victims of violent crimes, or animals of any size.

When Brenna is not watching, listening, or reading about true or fictious crime (because what else is there?) she enjoys spending time with her high school sweetheart, who was promoted to her husband in 2017 and cuddling with their six cats. Both Brenna and her husband volunteer in their spare time with the San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition as trappers in their Trap, Neuter, and Return (TNR) efforts. Some may say she is obsessed with all things cats but she maintains she is a sane cat lady and even has a T-shirt to prove it. Brenna is also a new plant mom and is excited to learn how to turn her yellow thumb in to a green one.

Danielle (she/her/hers)

Danielle was born on a sunny day in July and she is the oldest of four girls, yes you read that correctly FOUR girls. (poor dad, we know!). Danielle was very active at a young age and after a few death defying stunts, her parents decided to let her practice her tricks safely and enrolled her in gymnastics. She took to it naturally and quickly moved into the competitive and elite world of gymnastics. This passion started another by opening her eyes to true crime. Before hitting the books, Danielle would sneak in an episode or two of Law and Order in between practices. As she got older, her interest grew in understanding why violent crimes happen as well as the need for prison reform and rehabilitation. Danielle wants to learn more how she can help those who are victims of violent crimes (on both sides of the iron bars) and is excited to make a difference in the world.

Danielle has had a passion for helping others for as long as she can remember. Throughout her career she has worked for several event planning companies and non-profits in service of others. As she continues throughout her career, she would like to make an impact on those around her. As Law Ghost Stories continues to grow, you can bet that Danielle will be the first one to help plan a traveling tour.

In Danielle’s free time she loves taking her three pups Marcus, Coco, and Amelia on walks around her neighborhood for some fresh air while listening to her favorite true crime podcasts. Danielle and her college sweetheart, now husband, have a huge passion for helping animals and are in the process of getting their newest addition (Amelia) trained to become a therapy animal to help bring happiness to others in a time of need. This crazy dog lady also never passes up on an opportunity to go wine tasting with those she loves.
